Haulcoal.com is the web interface for Robinson Transport of Salina Utah.

For 60 + years, Robinson Transport Inc. has been hauling coal.
While much of that coal fires power plants in Utah, it also helps keep the giant Kennecott mines operating near Salt Lake City, and has been know to end up as far away as Japan.
Robinson's business has grown from a single truck in 1947 to 70 Kenworths pulling Rocky Mountain doubles today.
The Sufco mine is 30 miles from Salina. The first 16 miles are on I70. Then there are 10 miles or so back to the mine over some very sharp turns and steep grades.
We go from 5000 feet in elevation here in Salina, hit the summit at a little under 9000, then drop down to 7000 to the mine itself. The grades are nine percent, and the load is close to 130,000 pounds gross (about 43 tons of coal).
Our coal hauls are all local Utah loads. These runs are typically from the SUFCO mine to Levan, Hunter Power, Huntington Power and Kennecott. Our drivers are paid by the load on the 5th and the 20th of each month. Our work week is from Sunday night thru Saturday morning. Our drivers work on a 12 hour shift and two drivers are assigned to each truck. We offer insurance to our employees (dental and medical) after 6 months. We also offer a 401k.
